Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy)

Coccydynia, or pain in the region of the coccyx (commonly termed the tailbone) is usually due to trauma such as a fall. Sports trauma, repetitive abrasion from activities such as cycling or childbirth may also lead to coccydynia. If conservative treatments fail, coccydynia along with rectal and perineal pain may be indications for a Ganglion Impar Block.
